ContinueSustainability, digitalization, accessibility and identity. A plan for the development and future of Baluarte, adapting to the new times, establishing strategic routes to fulfil and achieve the objective.
Baluarte is one of the largest Congress Palaces in Spain, with a total area of 63,000 m2, including two floors of underground parking with capacity for 900 vehicles.
A large space capable of hosting all kinds of events, BALUARTE is a building constructed by the Government of Navarra, the work of the Navarrese architect Patxi Mangado. Baluarte is located in the city centre, next to the Citadel of Pamplona, an old fortress from the XVI century converted into a large green area.
Baluarte is the first Congress Palace in Spain to have received the BioSphere Certification, for Sustainability, granted by the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI), an institution endorsed by UNESCO. It also has the AENOR Quality Management and Environmental Management certifications.
Baluarte has succeeded in combining the aesthetic and architectural component of the building with the functionality of its facilities and services. For this reason, since its creation, Baluarte has undergone inspections and improvement procedures periodically to guarantee accessibility for all people. This policy is implemented through the UNE 170001 Universal Accessibility certification.
The ticket offices are located in the square, next to the Baluarte outdoor cafeteria. From September to June it is open from Monday to Saturday, mornings and afternoons (from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm) and on Sundays and holidays when there is a show, one hour before the event.
